Question your bias

Life happens to us all regardless, what sets us apart is how we respond to it. And how we respond to it is determined by how we perceive it and how we perceive it is determined by our bias. Our bias is the filter through which we constantly view the world. It’s the fabrication of our experiences woven into the knowledge we’ve gained in those experiences. It’s what determines why your favorite color is white and whether the cup is half full, half empty or just contains water ready to be drunk.

You were not placed on this earth to just chill, you are here to grow and growth is uncomfortable.

To grow is to change constantly. To be able to learn and unlearn, to be able to constantly update your bias. To be able to identify the things you want and how to get them using the things you already have. To grow is to acknowledge that your point of view may be flawed and to seek the truth. To grow is to be happy regardless, to love regardless and to help others regardless.

I challenge you today to update your mind, question your bias and stand with the truth wherever you may find it even if it makes you uncomfortable.
